Time semantics and methodology

UTC dates: start inclusive, end exclusive, selecting weekly report starts and exact, unqualified AD eruption starts. All time also includes undated, imprecise and BCE records; their timestamps are not invented.

Weekly reports are selective. Overlap mode includes older intervals intersecting the selected range and labels definite, possible and indeterminate matches. Unknown ends do not prove ongoing activity. Imprecise/BCE dates remain native, never invented UTC timestamps; unplottable records remain counted. Full-selection queries describe stored data, not a guarantee of complete provider history.
