Time semantics and methodology

publishedStart / publishedEnd filter provider publication time, inclusive / exclusive. Unknown publication times are excluded when filtering. asOf is a separate information-availability cutoff, not the observation range.

Products are immutable provider versions and interpretations. Publication time, event occurrence and platform availability are different clocks; a manifest is not the underlying waveform or raster. Full-selection queries describe stored data, not a guarantee of complete provider history.
